The beautiful, tropical nature of Indonesia
and its cluster of islands has made it a popular place to unwind, enjoy
the beach and party with the locals. Its wild, adventurous side is
often underplayed, but doesn’t need much coaxing to reveal itself.
Hanging out in Indonesia,
mountain bike riders Yannick Granieri and Sam Reynolds decided to get
the best out of the chutes and folds of Indonesia volcanic mountain
range. Yannick and Sam hung out with the Indonesian locals, rode their
hearts out at volcanic Mount Bromo and fell in love with Indonesia all
at the same time. Follow their adventure in this exclusive video from RedBull.com:
It’s only natural to want to experience the same adrenaline vibes,
friendly people and beautiful scenery of Indonesia, and there’s much
more to do than just visit Mount Bromo in the hopes of a volcanic rumble. Why not add some of these awesome activities to your to-do list ahead of your trip to Indonesia?
Cruising the waves
Surfing is likely the most popular reason for travellers to hit up
Indonesia’s beaches. Great surf, fantastic weather and some of the best
beach accommodation in the world, it really isn’t a mystery why
Indonesia is a surfer’s paradise.
Most surfers head to the south-east and south-west coastlines of Bali
during the months of June to September for the best weather and best
surf spots. It can be a little crowded during these peak times, but
angling for a little knowledge from local surfers is likely to reveal
the more isolated surfing spots, away from the crowds.
Say hi to the fish

The snorkeling and diving opportunities in Indonesia are truly remarkable.
With vast coral reefs lying just offshore of most of the islands,
divers can explore the depths while spotting whale sharks, clown fish
and a plethora of other beautiful underwater animals.
There are plenty of companies that offer day trips and equipment, but if you’re picky you should take your own gear.
Exploring Indonesia’s heritage

There is so much to see within Indonesia’s borders that it can’t be
justified in one small list, but it’s worthwhile to take the time
explore the ancient temples, intricate ruins and agricultural rice
paddies for the photo opportunities alone!
Hire a bicycle, escape the busy tourist areas and concentrate
on finding your own version of this beautiful country is important, not
to mention very affordable.
Bring your chill

Indonesia has to have some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world.
White sands, warm waters and the palm trees overhead providing some
welcome shade create the idyllic backdrop to enjoy some time just doing
nothing.
With over 17 000 islands, there is no better country
than Indonesia to discover your own private strip of white sand and
blue sea to set up your beach picnic! Popular beaches are those on Gili Islands, Seminyak and the Banda Islands.
